The aviation and air transport industry at European level as a whole, and the ATM industry in particular will face a number of major challenges in the coming years and due to this the aeronautic industry has to develop means to accommodate these changes like forecast traffic growth, deployment of SESAR, integrating new airspace users (RPAS), aviation safety, or issues such as the application of new technologies in the sector. All these issues will require new and different skills from both, current and future professionals in ATM.
